    From the hotel, and with our free bicycles, we recommend two cycle routes suitable for all ages:

    - Green Route: leaving the hotel to the west, it goes through the natural environment of La Marjal de Gandia, a natural place with a great variety of flora and fauna.

    - Blue route: leaving the hotel to the east, take a bike ride along the seafront walk, the beach and the port of Gandia, to get up close to the seafaring activity of the city.

    If you like strong emotions and you are looking for something more daring, we recommend you to bring your bike, as we have a garage with tools, hose, bike parking ... and we can recommend different and exciting mountain routes.

  • Beach of l'Auir

    It is located on the north coast of Gandia, between the urbanized area and the Vaca river, just 15 minutes walk from La Gastrocasa.

    It is a privileged space of 3 km in length where you can enjoy a wonderful landscape of dunes. If you like to live the beach naturally, you can also do it in the authorized area and signposted for nudism.

  • Horse trips

    Los Robles is an equestrian center of Gandia located in La Marjal de Gandia, just 2 km from La Gastrocasa, and is famous for its great variety of horses, its charming environment and its thrilling spectacles of purebred Spanish horses.

    The center has around 100 horses and ponies, as well as professional instructors who can teach you how to ride or perfect your technique.

    There is also the possibility of giving individual riding lessons, excursions/walks and jumping - taught in a way that guarantees a high level of personal attention.

    The main activities offered by the center are initiation to trotting, galloping and horse jumping and excursions on horseback or pony by La Marjal de Gandia.

  • Aula de la Natura de La Marjal de Gandia

    The Aula de la Natura, located in the Marjal de Gandia area, just 5 km from La Gastrocasa, is an interpretive center for a Mediterranean wetland.

    Its magnificent location allows you to visit the center, providing a very complete information of the flora and fauna native to this type of ecosystem, and where you can take a guided tour through "l'ullal" to discover all its secrets. A perfect excuse to be in contact with nature and get up close to the environment. Also in this area is located l'Alqueria del Duc, fortified building of the XVI century and l'Ullal Gran, lagoon formed by underground water springs.

  • Parpalló-Borrell Natural Park and Cave of Parpalló

    The Parpalló-Borrell Municipal Natural Park is a protected area of ​​Gandia, with 560 hectares. The objective of the Interpretation Center is to make known the importance of this protected space, showing its natural and cultural values, with a special focus towards its conservation. The Center has a dedicated room in the Cueva del Parpalló, with replicas of its art and prehistoric tools.

    Cave of Parpalló:

    Located in the Parpalló-Borrell Municipal Natural Park, the Cave of Parpalló is one of the most important caves of the Upper Palaeolithic, a time when humans were hunter-gatherers and the planet spent the last known glacial period.

    In this context, Parpalló developed Paleolithic art on stone platelets, wich ends up as an encyclopedia of Mediterranean Paleolithic Art. Cueva del Parpalló is open to guided tours with prior reservation.

  • Ducal Palace of the Borja Family

    The Ducal Palace of the Borja family in Gandia, 7 km away from La Gastrocasa and declared an Asset of Cultural Interest since 1964, is one of the most representative civil buildings of the Valencian historical heritage.

    Located in the historic center, next to the Collegiate Church of Santa María and the City Hall, it has witnessed the evolution of the history of the capital of Safor since its birth. Its exterior austerity contrasts with its surprising interior that its successive habitants have been transforming throughout history, turning the Doge's Palace into a container of a whole range of different artistic styles that go from the 15th to the 19th century.

  • Royal Monastery of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba

    The Royal Monastery of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba, only 16 km away from La Gastrocasa, is one of the most notable and best preserved monastic constructions in the Valencian Community, a fact that is accentuated by the stylistic diversity of its set that, starting from a primitive medieval Gothic structure in the 14th century, it was developed mainly from the 16th to the 18th century.

    This beautiful monument that once belonged to the Hieronymites, has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) since 1994, its construction dates from 1388 and contains important Mudejar, Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical elements.

  • Archaelogical Museum of Gandia MAGa

    The Archaeological Museum of Gandia - MAGa is located in the old San Marcos Hospital, an emblematic building founded in the 14th century by the first Duke of Gandia, Alfonso el Viejo.

    The permanent collection focuses on the prehistory of the Safor region, from the Paleolithic hunter-gatherer societies to the Neolithic farming and livestock societies. It houses pieces from some of the main archaeological sites in Europe, such as the Cova del Bolomor (Tavernes de la Valldigna), the Cova del Parpalló or the Cova de les Meravelles (Gandia). The importance of these and other sites reflect the richness of the archaeological heritage of the Safor region.

  • Serrano Theater of Gandia

    It is the theater with the highest capacity in the city of Gandia. The theater was built on the same site as the old Teatro Circo de Gandía, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1913 it was renamed Teatro Serrano, in honor of the Valencian musician José Serrano, author of the Valencian anthem.

    Of late Valencian modernist style, stands out in the facade the balconies in stone with geometric decoration, the tiles and the top of the facade with pinnacles and railings in iron forge with floral ornamentation. It consists of ground floor and a height.

    In 1995 the theater closed and the building became the property of the Gandia town hall, which rehabilitated it, adapting it to the stage needs of the moment. It was reopened on March 27, 2006. Currently, its programming includes theater, music, dance and film shows.

    The Castle of Bayrén (X-XI century), also known as San Juan, is an old fortification located in the municipality of Gandia.

    It is at the top of a mound 106 meters above sea level where, on the west side, the Sierra de Mondúver begins and on its slopes, looking east, the Marjal de Gandía, a wetland.

    It can be visited by accessing the curves of San Juan, coming from Alicante direction, through the Alcodar industrial estate and from Valencia direction before the N-332 Gandia ring road.
